President Joe Biden raised concerns on Friday about the possibility of an imminent Iranian attack on Israel. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Biden stated that he anticipates Iran could target Israel "sooner than later" but declined to elaborate.
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera reported that Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, delivered a speech during Eid al-Fitr prayers, condemning Israel and Western powers for their involvement in the recent conflict in Gaza. Khamenei denounced the bloodshed in Gaza, calling it a "bloody war" instigated by Israeli aggression.
In response, Israeli authorities have threatened direct retaliation against Iran. In a video posted on social media, Israeli riot police are seen brutally beating an unarmed woman during protests in East Jerusalem.
Additionally, the United States has reportedly transferred thousands of seized Iranian weapons to Ukraine for use in the ongoing conflict. Despite the transfer of weapons, the U.S. State Department has warned Americans in the Middle East of ongoing threats posed by Iran.
In a separate development, a former Russian official has issued a warning about President Vladimir Putin's potential plans to expand the conflict in Ukraine beyond its current borders.
